VeriChip Corporation to Present at Maryland Patient Safety Conference on March 23, 2007

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VeriChip Corporation , a provider of RFID systems for healthcare and patient-related needs, will be presenting at the third annual Maryland Patient Safety Conference in Baltimore on Friday, March 23. The conference attracts over 1,000 healthcare providers from 145 hospitals and long-term care facilities in Maryland, D.C. and northern Virginia. VeriChip expects to enroll additional hospitals and physicians in its VeriMed Patient Identification System network through the conference.
The Maryland Patient Safety Center was created by the Maryland Health Care Commission in 2004 to develop and implement strategies to improve the safety of patient care in Maryland.
