The parents of a young patient at Children’s Hospital in Boston outfitted the child’s hospital room with a NannyCam.

A nurse found the Webcam.

Dr. Samuel Blackman, a pediatric oncologist, wrote about the camera on his blog, The Boston Herald reported. Blackman said that the parents put the camera on the child so that a relative could keep in touch. But the camera captured moments like the child throwing up and having a bloody nose.

Blackman, while he refused to talk to the Herald, asked in his blog, How far can a parent or relative go in taping the healthcare of their loved one? He later took the entry down, the newspaper said.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said that parents can film their own children but not other patients or staff.
