Winters Heritage House Plans Classes for Kids

The Winters Heritage House, a living history center in Elizabethtown, is offering some hands-on activities for children this spring.

Classes will be held at the museum, 47 E. High St., Elizabethtown.

They include:

“Hands-On Heritage Days,” for ages 3 to 7, on Saturdays, April 14 and June 2, from 10 a.m. until noon. Activities include puppet shows, working with wool, face painting, cooking, and log building, among other activities. Cost is $4 per person.

“Embroidery Tea,” for ages 8 to 12, on Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. until noon. Come dressed for tea and bring your favorite doll or stuffed animal. Embroider a pillow and learn tea-time etiquette. Cost is $15 per person.

“Early Machines,” for ages 8 to 12, on Saturday, April 28, from 10 am. until noon. Learn about early machines and how they work. Make a rope-making machine to take home. Cost is $15 per person.

Pre-registration is required by calling 367-4672. Payment in full is required within one week of registration.
