Two Shark Attacks Off Florida Coast

Two shark bites occurred within an hour of each other over the weekend on Hutchison Island off the coast of Florida.
The Palm Beach Post said the first incident involved a 9-year-old boy who was bitten on the buttocks before onlookers rushed him to a nearby convenience store where rescue workers picked him up. The boy was taken to the hospital where he sustained minor injuries, and was later discharged.
About an hour after the boy had been bit, reports came in of a 30-year-old surfer who'd been bit on the ankle by a shark while surfing with a friend.
Although the wounds around the surfer's ankle were deep, rescue workers said he remained calm, joking that he couldn't wait to hear his wife's reaction, the newspaper said.
