Healthy Worthington Coalition Recognizes American Health Holding, Inc.

American Health was presented with the Tom and Sandy Byers Healthy Worthington Award at the 4th Annual Healthy Worthington Roundtable on February 16th. This award is given annually by the Healthy Worthington Coalition to acknowledge outstanding efforts of organizations, businesses or individuals to improve health and well-being -- past winners include Worthington Industries and Worthington Estates Elementary.
This year's Healthy Worthington Award was presented to American Health in recognition of their SUCCESS program, which was designed and launched by American Health's Wellness Committee. The 7-month program encouraged employees to meet their individual wellness goals by creating weekly action plans. The Wellness Committee at American Health supported employees by offering online tracking and health education programs, providing health information, and holding support meetings and weekly check-ins. Wellness Committee members Shirley Myers and Mary Hartshorn accepted the award on behalf of the Wellness Committee, who donated their time and creativity to the SUCCESS program, and also on behalf of all of the American Health employees who participated in the program.
"Healthcare employees often are so focused on the well-being of others that their own health becomes a low priority," states Amie Horan, Supervisor of Marketing Services and Wellness Committee member.
