Ill Patient Died From Pneumonia

A retired plant worker died shortly after being admitted to hospital in ill health, an inquest heard.

Dennis Johnson, 69, of Rutland Close, Roseworth, Stockton, was admitted to the University Hospital of North Tees on January 5 and died there on January 11.

Pathologist Jan Lowe gave the cause of death as bronchopneumonia and a pulmonary embolism.

Teesside Coroner Michael Sheffield recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
