Lynx Software to Help Streamline ED Charging for Missouri Hospital

Lynx Medical Systems has reached an agreement with Callaway Community Hospital in Missouri through which the emergency medicine technology firm will implement its E/Point outpatient facility charging software application at the SunLink healthcare facility.

E/Point is a standalone outpatient facility charging software program that will assist Callaway Community Hospital (CCH) staff record work performed during emergency department (ED) patient visits.

The software employs Lynx’s proprietary Outpatient Facility Charging Algorithm, which produces a visit level distribution and revenue that accurately reflects patient acuity mix and resource utilization in the ED.

E/Point automatically calculates the visit level for consistent, compliant and complete E/M charge assignment then extracts charges to the hospital billing or financial system. The hospital can also access financial and clinical data to better manage ED operations and patient care.

CCH is one of seven community hospitals operated in four US states by SunLink Health Systems, and the fifth hospital within the SunLink system to implement Lynx E/Point.
