Threat to Ward

BEDS at Darlington Memorial Hospital’s gynaecology unit could be under threat. Health bosses have confirmed that discussions have taken place about the possible closure of the ward as part of a reorganisation. Last year, the hospital closed a unit for elderly patients and announced plans to move haematology services to Bishop Auckland.
