Greenway Medical Technologies Supports Physicians Quality Reporting Initiative Established By Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

CARROLLTON, Ga., April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenway Medical Technologies announced today that its flagship EHR solution, PrimeSuite, integrates all 74 quality measures set forth in the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Set into effect by the Tax Relief and Health Care Act signed by the President on December 20, 2006, PQRI establishes a financial incentive for physicians to participate in the quality reporting program that consists of 74 measures that will be used to better enhance the quality and delivery of healthcare in America. Physicians can voluntarily report the measures on claims service performed between July 1 and December 31, 2007 and earn a bonus payment for work that is covered by Medicare fee schedule services up to 1.5 percent of the total charges.
