Public Invited to Free Lecutures on Islamic Fundamentalism

Apr. 23–SARASOTA — A pair of lectures on Islamic fundamentalism are planned at New College this week. The lectures are free to the public.

Guest speaker will be Egdunas Racius, head of the Center for Asian and African Studies in the Institute for International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University, Lithuania.

Both lecutures will be at 7 p.m. in Room 8 (Teaching Auditorium), Hamilton Center, East Campus, New College of Florida, 5800 Bay Shore Road:

Thursday: “The Nature and Evolution of Anti-American Jihadism.”

Friday: “Reactions to American Policies in the Middle East: From resignation and fear to hate.”
