Cathy Barr Appointed Vice President of HealthEast Community Based Services

Cathy Barr, currently Senior Director for HealthEast Home Care, has been named HealthEast Vice President for Community Based Services.
Barr has served HealthEast's Home Care division for nine years. Under her leadership, the organization has grown as employees have provided a wide array of services including nursing care, rehabilitation services, infusion therapy pharmacy, wound care and perinatal programs and the HealthAlert emergency response system. The team serves an average daily census of more than 500 clients.
In her new role, Barr will provide leadership for both of HealthEast's community based companies: Home Care and HealthEast Medical Transportation. She will also assume strategic and planning guidance for the Government and Special Populations department; the area will focus on delivering service enhancements to a changing demographic, offering effective care management to individuals coping with chronic disease and developing legislative priorities (on issues such as reimbursement rates and technology usage) that impact patient quality outcomes.

Barr holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Niagara University in New York.
