realhealth.TV (www.realhealth.tv), an Internet TV channel dedicated to a new form of consumer health education that showcases real people sharing their health stories, has entered into an alliance with the University of Chicago Medical Center. Physicians from the organization will provide education on key health topics featured on realhealth.TV, including fitness, reproductive health and cancer.
"The University of Chicago Medical Center is at the forefront of specialty medical care, so the physicians' targeted and expert commentaries are an invaluable educational tool for Internet users," said Dennis Lynch, founder of realhealth.TV.
"As an academic medical center, we are committed to communicating knowledge through education. We want to help our patients be more informed about their health," said James Madara, MD, Chief Executive Officer for the University of Chicago Medical Center. "Participation in realhealth.TV enhances our ability to offer online video education, providing a whole new avenue for our physicians to help people, especially newly diagnosed patients, understand the course and treatment of specific diseases."
