Abseil in Aid of Cancer Care

THE charity Marie Curie Cancer Care is now recruiting people from across Merseyside for their Leasowe Lighthouse abseil.
The event takes place on Sunday, June 10 on the north Wirral Coast and attracts people from across the region.
Brenda Donaldson signed up to take part last year after hearing a talk on the charity’s work at the Huyton Park Conservative Club.
She said: “I’d never done anything like it before in my life, but after hearing about the fantastic work the charity does with local cancer patients, I decided to take on the challenge.
“I was terrified at the top, but it was one of the most exhilarating things I’ve ever done.”
