Snapper’s Sermon on Mount
By MIRROR REPORTER
AN award-winning photographer yesterday urged men to check their health regularly after beating testicular cancer.
Keith Heneghan, from Castlebar, Co Mayo, won the John Healy Award for the best newspaper photograph taken in the West of Ireland in 2007.
The 30-year-old snapped a pilgrim on top of Croagh Patrick last July.
But shortly after the picture was taken Keith had surgery and radiotherapy treatment for the disease.
Now he’s determined more men won’t have to effectively die of embarrassment.
Keith said: “It’s a nice end to what was a testing time in my life.
“Men can be slow to get their health checked. It’s very important they do because so much can be achieved if a disease is caught early.”
