Mayo Named ‘Healthy Lifestyle Employer’

May 11–Mayo Clinic has been named one of the best employers for healthy lifestyles in the country.

The clinic for the third year in a row received the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles award “for its commitment to providing a healthy work environment and encouraging employees to live healthier lifestyles,” according to a Mayo statement.

The recognition was for Mayo’s LiveWell program. Mayo offers employees lifestyle coaching, on-site fitness facilities, fitness center subsidies, Internet sites, walking programs and self-care books, all at low cost or free.
