Friendship With J. Lo Just That, `Queens’ Star Insists

Despite what supermarket tabloids may have you believe, Leah Remini insists her friendship with Jennifer Lopez has NOTHING to do with an attempt by the “King of Queens” star to covert the songstress to Scientology.

“Two girls can’t hang out together?” Remini asks in People magazine. “What does that have to do with religion?”

The 36-year-old actress says the speculation she’s trying to convince J. Lo to study Scientology baffles her because she herself would never assume that about two people shopping or grabbing lunch together.

Besides, she adds, “She’s a fabulous girl. I’m fabulous to hang out with.”

‘Nuff said.

She adds that her fans can be sure her friendship with Lopez certainly has nothing to do with fertility, referring to what she calls the weirdest tabloid rumor she’s heard.

“I read once that I was trying to get Jennifer to do Scientology because it helps with fertility. I don’t know what that’s about,” said the 36-year-old star of the new Internet series “In the Motherhood.”

“That’s bull(bleep) – that we’re sitting there at the Polo Lounge talking about fertility. I think Jennifer knows how to get pregnant.”
