Lance M. Nicholls, RPh, PharmD, Appointed Executive Director of AMCP Horizons, LLC
The Board of Directors of AMCP Horizons, LLC has announced the appointment of Lance M. Nicholls, PharmD, RPh, to the position of executive director of the organization. Prior to joining AMCP Horizons, Dr. Nicholls was the acting director of Grants and associate director of Pharmacy Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals in Ridgefield, Connecticut, where he directed the overall direction and strategic priorities of the department. He also collaborated with various pharmacy and managed care organizations on multiple projects. He assumes the position at AMCP Horizons, on June 4, 2007.
Dr. Nicholls has held a number of clinical and marketing positions with BI since May 2001, becoming associate director of Pharmacy Affairs in 2003. In prior positions, he worked for Lockheed Martin Laboratories, Columbia Sunrise Hospital and Pharmor Pharmacy, all in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Nicholls is a well-rounded professional with a broad background in professional pharmacy activities, including community, hospital and consultant pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry and managed care. He is a member of several professional pharmacy organizations, including the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

The current executive director of AMCP Horizons, Stacy Andres, is remaining with the company in a different capacity, and will continue to provide her expertise to develop the excellent programs for which AMCP Horizons is known.
