Hospital Trust in Plea for Governors
HERE’S your chance to shape health services at two city hospitals.
University Hospital Trust, which runs Selly Oak Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Edgbaston, is holding elections for its board of governors. Bosses of the Foundation Trust, which is a leading centre for cancer treatment, needs to find 25 dedicated locals to represent their community as governors.
They need two governors from each of Edgbaston, Northfield, Selly Oak and Hall Green, and one each from Ladywood, Perry Barr, Yardley, Erdington and Sutton Coldfield.
Places also include six patient governors from any area, who have been treated at either Queen Elizabeth or Selly Oak hospitals.
Chairman Sir Albert Bore is very keen to get as many people involved as possible and raise the profile of the governors.
The deadline for nominations is noon tomorrow with elections due to be held in June.
