The Little Clinic is Bringing the Next Big Thing in Healthcare to South Florida Publix Super Markets

The Little Clinic, a healthcare services company that manages walk-in clinics placed inside retail locations, brings a new level of convenience to family healthcare needs right inside your local Publix Super Market! With a focus on treating minor illnesses that do not require complicated intervention, such as: fevers, earaches, sore throat, and rashes, among other common illnesses or minor injuries, The Little Clinic complements your local family doctor when you’re pressed for time or need attention after hours, particularly when a visit to the emergency room is not warranted.

The Little Clinic health care centers will be staffed by Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNP) who can write prescriptions, provide diagnosis and treatment of common ailments and minor injuries, and offer wellness care like physicals, screenings and vaccinations. In keeping with Publix customer service standards, The Little Clinic will add a personal touch by providing computerized patient history, and facilitate referrals to primary care doctors, urgent care centers or hospitals when needed.

Open seven days a week, The Little Clinic will provide healthcare services to customers 12 months or older at an affordable fee, with most services under $60. In addition, the Little Clinic accepts some major health insurance plans including Medicare. Appointments will not be necessary, with little or no waiting time; to meet overall family needs, as well as those of business professionals.

On Friday, June 1, 2007 from 11:00AM through 4:00PM, The Little Clinic will hold its Grand Opening Events at the clinics located within the following Publix Super Market stores.

This marks the third phase of The Little Clinics in Florida Publix Super Markets, with five locations each in Orlando and Tampa.
