The conference will feature leaders from national organizations from across the country discussing areas of concern, best practices and recommendations for solutions. Today, ethnically diverse populations over 50 comprise almost 19 percent of the 50+ population, with almost 30 percent reporting some form of a disability, and at least 20 percent of coupled gays and lesbians are over 55. The conference will focus on health care disparities, financial security, housing and other issues facing diverse populations as they age.
