Xlear’s Spry Toothpaste Made in the United States

June 6, 2007

In response to the Federal Drug Administration’s (FDA) recent import alert regarding toothpaste made in China, Xlear, Inc. has issued the following statement:

“We have received a number of inquiries recently about the FDA’s decision to detain shipments from China of toothpaste containing diethylene glycol, or DEG. We want to assure our customers and partners that our Spry Coolmint Toothpaste and Spry Spearmint Toothpaste do not contain DEG, and are in fact made in the United States (in the state of Connecticut). There is no DEG in any of our products, and we make sure that all of our products comply with the FDA’s strict guidelines.

“Xlear’s products are made with the highest quality ingredients, including pharmaceutical-grade xylitol, which has proven to provide a number of health and nutritional benefits. All of our products, from our Spry gum to our Xlear Nasal Wash go through extensive testing and are free from any contamination of extraneous chemicals. Our customers can be assured that Xlear’s products are of the highest quality and absolutely safe to use.”
