Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital At Ohio State University Goes Live With MARTTI(TM)

Language Access Network (OTC:LANW), the leader in video interpretation services, announced it has completed Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital's first live video interpretation with it's product MARTTI™(My Accessible Real-Time Trusted Interpreter)™. Ross Heart Hospital is a 100 bed facility located within The Ohio State University Medical Center and a part of The Ohio State University.

Under the agreement, Language Access Network will provide video/audio interpretation services in 150 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL) for the Deaf and Hard-Of-Hearing. The service, known as MARTTI™, will be available to patients at Ross Heart Hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and billed on a per minute usage fee.

Language Access Network estimates an average of 20% of all patients in the U.S. are Limited English Proficient, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, or do not speak English well. LAN estimates that each patient encounter in a hospital environment, ER, Labor and Delivery, Clinic, etc. lasts between 7-12 minutes of time on the MARTTI™ unit, with a cost range of $1.75 - $2.95 per minute.
