Needham & Company, LLC's Sixth Annual Biotechnology & Medical Technology Conference New York Palace Hotel June 13-14, 2007

Needham & Company, LLC will hold its Sixth Annual Biotechnology & Medical Technology Conference at the New York Palace Hotel on June 13-14. Over 120 biotechnology and medical technology companies are scheduled to present.

"Investors at our conference are looking for small, undercovered companies that may be developing into the next Amgen," said Dr. Mark Monane, Managing Director, Equity Research, Biotechnology & Life Sciences. "Over the past decade, the large pharmaceutical firms have gone through a significant transition where an important part of their business has come from partnering with and acquiring biotech firms to leverage their drug development and distribution strengths. That leaves much of the discovery of new drugs and exciting breakthroughs to the smaller companies, many of which will be at our conference. We think we host the Tribeca Film Festival of the biotechnology and medical technology community. Once again the conference will come on the heels of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, so that the information coming out of that event can be analyzed and discussed at our conference."
