Texas Paxil Lawyers Johnson Law Group Sees Increase in Primary Pulmonary Hypertension Cases

Paxil Lawyers Johnson Law Group, with principal offices in Houston, Texas, has recently signed a number of cases where the children of patients who were pregnant and taking Paxil were diagnosed with persistent pulmonary hypertension, also known as PPHN.

According to the FDA, Babies born with PPHN have abnormal blood flow through the heart and lungs and do not get enough oxygen to their bodies. Infants born to mothers who took Paxil(R) after the 20th week of pregnancy were 6 times more likely to have persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPHN) than infants born to mothers who did not take antidepressants during pregnancy.

"The cases are especially tragic when an innocent baby is diagnosed with PPHN," observes attorney Nick Johnson, principal with the Johnson Law Group. "Babies with PPHN can be very sick and may die as a result of this horrible illness."
