BSD-2000 Cancer Treatment System Acquired in Taiyuan City, China

SALT LAKE CITY, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BSD Medical Corp. today announced that another BSD-2000 cancer treatment system has been purchased and installed in China, at the Shanzi Coal Center Hospital located in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. This 800-bed hospital, which treats over 100,000 people yearly in its outpatient program alone, was founded in 1983 and is one of the most distinguished hospitals in Shanxi Province. Dalian Orientech, BSD Medical's Chinese Distributor, is continuing to target prestigious hospitals for its installations, allowing the BSD-2000 to have visible exposure to the broader Chinese market.

China is rapidly evolving into one of the world's largest markets for high-technology medical equipment. It has also been an early adaptor in the use of clinical hyperthermia in the treatment of cancer, and has several thousand simple hyperthermia cancer therapy systems in place.
