WATERBURY, Conn., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Surgical Spaces, Inc. announced that they have chosen AmkaiCharts(TM) EMR for their new Urgent Care Center in Vancouver, BC. Surgical Spaces will also implement AmkaiCharts-ASC in their outpatient surgery centers, as well as in all of the additional sites that they have planned throughout Canada.
"Our plan is to provide our patients access to the most advanced healthcare technology possible and AmkaiCharts fits perfectly into our model," said Dr. Mark Godley, founder of Surgical Spaces, Inc. "We did a complete and thorough analysis of all of the systems that were available, and found that Amkai offered the most advanced, flexible and feature-rich EMR possible."
Steve Noxon, VP of Sales for Amkai, Inc., said, "We are extremely excited to be working with Surgical Spaces, Inc. in further enhancing AmkaiCharts for use in an ever expanding variety of healthcare delivery models."
One of the many advanced features of AmkaiCharts that fit into the Urgent Care Center model is its unique ability to produce a fully secure, portable medical record for patients, as they leave the facility. "We are dedicated to providing complete clinical information to our patients and their primary care providers in an efficient and secure way - AmkaiCharts' PMR(TM) (portable medical record) provided us with that capability right out of the box," said Dr. Godley.
"In addition," Dr. Godley continued, "the industry knowledge that the UI developers at Amkai possess, as well as the speed at which they were able to deliver on our requests, has proven to me that without any doubt we have made the best possible choice for our EMR vendor."
In addition to the AmkaiCharts EMR product, Surgical Spaces is also planning to implement Amkai's newest solution, AmkaiOffice(TM). AmkaiOffice is designed to help manage the administrative tasks of outpatient surgery centers, surgical hospitals and physician practices, and is a totally integrated part of the AmkaiEnterprise(TM) solution.
