Integrative Therapeutics Announces STAIR Program Scholarship Winners
Integrative Therapeutics, Inc (ITI), a leading manufacturer of natural medicines for healthcare practitioners and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), are pleased to announce the first year recipients of the ITI-AANP STAIR Residency Scholarships. The 2007-2008 winners Maya Roth, ND, and Charlotte Massey, ND are receiving scholarships for the dual residency program. This unique scholarship program gives the residents a fully paid residency experience in both a naturopathic practice and an MD managed integrative practice.
Dr. Maya Roth is a naturopathic graduate from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. Her residency will take place at Comprehensive Health Services in Tempe, Arizona, under the guidance of Dr. Robert Gear, Jr. This prestigious clinic serves as a multidisciplinary practice for modern medicine, surgery and alternative therapies.
Dr. Charlotte Massey earned her naturopathic doctorate from Bastyr University in Washington, and will share her residency time between the CLEAR Center of Health and the Naturopathic Family Health Clinic, both located in Mill Valley, California. At CLEAR, Dr. Massey will practice under Dr. Beth McDougal to learn the latest advances in Western Medicine in conjunction with a blend of studied natural/ holistic modalities. Dr. Beverly Yates, director of the Naturopathic Family Health Clinic, specializes in women and heart disease and will mentor Dr. Massey’s residency at the family practice clinic.
The STAIR Program offers postgraduate naturopathic physicians a unique and vital preparatory opportunity to “Step Up” to the next level of professional experience and success. “We are very excited to partner with ITI on The STAIR Program,” reports Jane Guiltinan, President of AANP. “The STAIR Program shows ITI’s commitment to ensuring a place as leaders in integrative medicine, in fostering the expansion of naturopathic graduate medical education, and in supporting the continued fight for naturopathic physician licensure.”
