The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Services Center Hosts Dedication Service and Open House

INFO: The Salvation Army is poised to respond to emergencies and disasters 24 hours a day, seven days a week from its 50,000 square-foot state-of-the-art Emergency Disaster Services Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. The building includes a call center with 25 call stations, a training center, a SATERN Ham Radio Station and a warehouse and distribution center. The facility is equipped with donated and purchased EDS supplies, products and personnel in preparation of any conceivable emergency. EDS mans and operates 11 mobile canteens, including four rehab units which are stocked with rehab supplies.
