On June 21, 2007, BioAgenda 2007 Summit East: “On the Edge: Can We Heal the Rift Between Science and Politics” will be held in Silver Spring, Maryland. NTDs contribute to an ongoing cycle of poverty, stigmatization, disability, disfigurement and death, leaving millions unable to work or participate fully in family and community life.
Dr. Hotez will also take part in a panel discussion entitled, “Global Promise, Global Threat in A.D. 2032″, in which participants will be asked to describe their vision of politics and life sciences 25 years in the future.
