Special Crew
IT takes a special kind of person to care for the terminally ill – but that’s the kind of person the Marie Curie hospice is looking for.
The charity, which cares for patients at their Hunters Hill hospice and in their own homes, has vacancies for nurses and health care assistants in Renfrew, Inverclyde and West Dumbarton.
Margaret Lambie, the nurse team manager for Renfrew and Inverclyde, said: “Marie Curie Nursing in a patient’s own home means providing hands-on care, while offering unlimited patient choice. It includes the physical tasks of washing, positioning, toileting plus supporting the patient and family with emotional care, often during the night when people feel at their most vulnerable.”
The Evening Times is backing Marie Curie’s Big Build appeal to help build a new state-of-the-art hospice for the terminally ill.
