Daxor Announces Tripler Army Medical Center of Honolulu, HI Acquires BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer

Daxor Corporation (AMEX: DXR), a medical instrumentation and biotechnology company, today announced the receipt of a signed trial agreement from Tripler Army Medical Center of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) is the headquarters of the Pacific Regional Medical Command of the armed forces administered by the United States Army. It is the largest military hospital in the Asian and Pacific Rim with a 1,000-bed capacity, serving 52 percent of the world’s globe. Daxor’s Blood Volume Analyzer will be based in the Department of Nuclear Medicine and primarily utilized by the Critical Care Unit under Medical Director Dr. Eric Crawley. Dr. Douglas Prager, Chief of Nuclear Medicine, stated that “A measured blood volume will afford an additional level of care to our patients that may require the additional diagnosis provided by a semi-automated blood volume analyzer.” Daxor’s Blood Volume Analyzer BVA-100 is the only FDA approved diagnostic device which provides for a semi-automated 98% accurate measurement of blood volume.

Other nationally renowned hospitals which have purchased the BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer after using it on a clinical trial basis are The Mayo Clinic, The Cleveland Clinic, and New York University Medical Center.
