Breakthrough in Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty to Be Revealed at Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Meeting

LOS ANGELES, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Non Surgical Nose Job(TM) -- a procedure developed by Alexander Rivkin M.D. -- will be highlighted at the upcoming bi-annual update on the State-of-the-Art in Rhinoplasty by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Rivkin will speak on Saturday, June 30 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel in Boston, MA.
Dr. Rivkin will present the results of 370 Non-Surgical Nose Job(TM) procedures performed over the last three and one half years. This constitutes the most extensive experience with the procedure in the world. His milestone paper is the first scientific presentation of the technique and its consistently excellent results over a several-year follow-up time period. Dr. Rivkin will demonstrate outstanding safety and patient satisfaction over the long-term, clearly establishing the Non Surgical Nose Job(TM) as the first viable non-invasive alternative to surgical rhinoplasty.
A Yale trained facial cosmetic surgeon and UCLA faculty member, Alexander Rivkin M.D. has focused his practice exclusively on non-surgical aesthetic treatments. He has made his name pioneering non-surgical alternatives to commonly performed cosmetic procedures and has been featured throughout the national and international media for his innovations.
Dr. Rivkin's technique involves the injection of Radiesse(TM) to camouflage nasal deformities (like bumps or deviations), raise and straighten drooping tips or build up and define underdeveloped nasal bridges. The Non Surgical Nose Job(TM) procedure is also a perfect fit for teenagers, as plastic surgery is often not recommended for this age group.
Dr. Rivkin's procedure is performed in the office and takes about 30 minutes. At various points in the procedure, Dr. Rivkin asks the patient to hold up a mirror so that they may direct his attention to the areas about which they are most concerned. Most people go back to work immediately after the procedure.
The results of the procedure last about one year. However, if a patient is happy with the result, as is seen in the great majority of Dr. Rivkin's cases, they can opt to have the Radiesse replaced at the end of a year with a recently FDA approved filler called ArteFill. Why? Because ArteFill is permanent.
