CSC Signs $67 Million IT Contract With the University of Pennsylvannia Health System

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation announced today that it has signed a contract to provide information technology (IT) services to the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS). CSC estimates the value of the five-year contract to be $67 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will provide a full scope of IT infrastructure services across UPHS facilities, including desktop, help desk, systems security and network support. In addition, CSC will implement a technology solution that will greatly increase system availability for clinicians. "We are pleased to be working with CSC under this contract," said Kevin B. Mahoney, senior vice president and chief administrative officer of UPHS. "CSC's expertise in supporting healthcare providers will greatly enhance our focus on the advancement of medicine in the digital era."
