Cure a Little Heart Foundation Fundraiser a Grand Success

LOS ANGELES, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Hrudaya Cure a Little Heart Foundation held an annual fundraiser at Hilton Hotel in Irvine, California on the evening of June 30, 2007. The Foundation helps thousands of under privileged kids in India by curing heart diseases and by providing heart surgeries at free of cost. The event was attended by over 500 guests with the dynamic hero of Telugu film industry, Nandamuri Balakrishna, as the chief guest. The event was sponsored by Dr. Prem Reddy, cardiologist and philanthropist who is also the Foundation's Trustee. The event was organized by Mr. Jayadev Appannagari, the organizing Trustee. The event raised two hundred and fifty thousand dollars that will go a long way to help about 250 poor children in the State of Andhra Pradesh, India to go through the life saving surgery for congenital heart diseases.
Dr. Prem Reddy announced a contribution of fifty thousand dollars to the Foundation and encouraged others to contribute to this noble mission. Several guests followed the suit and liberally pledged to help the cause of congenital heart diseases in underprivileged communities.
Dr. Prem Reddy recognized the lead cardiac surgeon Dr. Gopichand Mannam, FRCS, as a true hero for envisioning this mission and contributing his time and efforts to cure the heart diseases and giving new life to countless poor children.
