Iraqi Paper Says Funds Allocated for Maysan Health Projects

The official spokesman at the Maysan Health Department, Jamal al- Ilwi, told Al-Sabah that the Health Ministry has allocated 20 million Iraqi dinars to the Maysan Health Department to implement health projects in the governorate’s provincial capital, villages and hamlets.
Al-Ilwi said: These projects include the setting up of a surgical complex for operations at Al-Zahrawi Surgery Hospital in Al-Imara at a cost of three billion; expanding and upgrading the Infectious Disease Hospital and building a clinic for consultations at the General Pulmonary Hospital in Al-Imara; building a department for popular clinics; setting up a blood bank; a unit for treatment of infertility; a centre for rehabilitation of the handicapped; a refrigerated warehouses at the pharmacology section; a hospital at Al-Kahla district at the cost of seven billion; an extra storey at the hospital of Al-Majarr al-Kabir district; a department for popular medical clinics; and a store for medications at the cost of 10 billion.
