Prime Health Services Reaches Agreement With Vision Care Direct
Posted on: Friday, 13 July 2007, 12:13 CDT
Prime Health Services (Prime Health), a National Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), announced today an agreement with the medically credentialed eye physician's networks associated with Vision Care Direct. The ophthalmologists and optometrists provide all medical, Worker's Comp, and routine vision benefit services. Vision Care Direct (VCD) is a specially designed vision benefit plan with a variable menu of options for employer groups and individuals. VCD is doctor controlled. Doctors, with their IPAs, choose the fees to accept. This plan allows doctors to compete in the managed care arena with their own vision plan. The flexibility and cost effectiveness of these plans benefit both the patients and the member doctors.
"Prime Health Services is excited to enter into this new relationship with Vision Care Direct. They bring value to the Prime Health PPO network and to our clients by offering quality providers at discounted rates," said Brian Sharp, CEO for Prime Health Services.
