At Least 75 Dead in Thai Plane Crash

A passenger plane crashed while landing in heavy rain in Phuket, Thailand, Sunday, killing at least 75 people.
The plane with 123 passengers and seven crew members aboard reportedly broke in two and exploded after sliding off the runway and crashing into trees, Thai News Agency and China’s Xinhua news agency reported.
Forty-two of the injured aboard the budget One-Two-Go aircraft were taken to local hospitals, Thai News Agency reported.
The plane was en route from Bangkok to Phuket International Airport, which shut down operations after the crash.
