Iran is equipped to establish stability in its region without outside interference, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Saturday.
Ahmadinejad spoke in Tehran during ceremonies marking the 1980 war with Iraq, reported Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency, IRNA.
Iran remains committed to peace and security for the entire region and stands ready to defend those causes with skilled and powerful armed forces, Ahmadinejad said.
Those who believe that through rotten means, such as psychological warfare and economic sanctions, they could hinder progress of the Iranian nation are wrong, Ahmadinejad said.
