Polish Troops ‘to Stay in Iraq’

–warsaw Poland said it would not withdraw its 1,000 troops from Iraq after the Polish ambassador, Edward Pietrzyk, was injured in an attack on his convoy in Baghdad yesterday. The Prime Minister, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said: “Desertion is always the worst option.” One of the ambassador’s bodyguards was killed in the attack.
