Olympic Torch Arrives in Tibet

LHASA The capital of Tibet is preparing to host the Olympic torch relay today, three months after violent anti-government rioting rocked the city. The relay, disrupted several times outside China by protests against Beijing’s policies in Tibet, will begin at Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s former summer palace in Lhasa, and end nearly seven miles away at the hilltop Potala Palace, traditional seat of Tibetan rulers.
