Pakistan Forces Fire on Helicopters in Tribal Area

Rawalpindi, 25 September: A spokesman of ISPR [Inter-Services Public Relations] has said that on Thursday [25 September] at 3.30 p.m [local time], two helicopters from Afghanistan side crossed into Pakistan territory in the area of Said Gai, Ghulam Khan sector, North Wazirastan Agency. When the helicopters passed over our border post and were well within Pakistani territory, our own security forces fired anticipatory warning shots. On this, the helicopters returned fire and flew back.

The matter was reported to ISAF [International Security Assistance Force, Afghanistan] Headquarters and the issue is being resolved through existing coordinated and communication channel between Pakistan Army and ISAF.
