World Tonight: Ex-Leader Dies

AUSTRIAN police say far-right politician Joerg Haider has died in a car accident. Police say the accident happened early this morning in the south of the country. The 58-year-old Mr Haider was governor of Carinthia and leader of the far-right Alliance for the Future of Austria at the time of his death. In 1999, Haider raked in 27% of the vote in national elections as leader of the Freedom P arty.
