Text of report by Israel radio on 18 July
Hundreds of anti-disengagement protesters attempted to block access to the city of Jerusalem near the Merkaz Harav Yeshiva. A police force repelled them and detained two demonstrators for attacking policemen.
At the Har Homa district entrance, police dispersed several hundred rioters who blocked a road.
Several dozen disengagement opponents are marching on foot from Qiryat Shemona to the south after police prevented their chartered buses from leaving for Netivot [town in western Negev from where planned anti-disengagement march to the Gaza Strip is due to begin], our correspondent in the north Ronen Pollack reports.
[In a later news bulletin, the radio (in Hebrew 1400 gmt 18 Jul 05) said that "some 4,000 demonstrators have arrived in Netivot so far".]
