Turkish Minister Offers Assistance to Egypt Following Bomb Attacks

Ankara, 24 July: Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul spoke on Sunday [24 July] to his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Ali Aboul Gheit by phone, and expressed his sorrow over the bomb attacks staged in Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Shaykh, diplomatic sources said.
According to diplomatic sources, Gul expressed condolence to his Egyptian counterpart, and said that Turkey was ready to extend every assistance to Egypt.
On the other hand, Gheit thanked Gul for Turkey's close interest.
Saturday's bomb attacks in Sharm al-Shaykh killed at least 88, and wounded more than 200 people.
