U.S. and British rescue teams will try to save seven Russian sailors Saturday trapped deep under the Pacific Ocean off the Kamchatka peninsula.

Russian navy officials say the crew has about 24-hours of oxygen left, the BBC reports.

The mini-submarine’s propeller is said to have gotten tangled in a discarded fishing net Thursday.

Russian divers were not able to reach it and a previous rescue attempt using a cable was unsuccessful.

The sailors are too far from the surface to swim to safety.

The U.S. and British rescue teams will use vehicles called Scorpios, which can cut through metal.
