Iran's predicted oil revenues for the current year have been realized. A senior official with the National Iranian Oil Company said soaring crude prices and the international market helped Iran earn the total oil revenue for the current Iranian year of 1384 [year beginning 21 March 2005] in the first five months of the year.
Hojjatollah Qanimifard who serves as NIOC's deputy in charge of international affairs added: Considering current trend in oil markets Iran's oil revenues this year would hit the 43bn-dollar mark. He added: The additional revenues will be transferred to the foreign exchange reserve fund and will be provided to the private sector in terms of low interest loans.
