EasyJet in Fire Scare

AN EasyJet plane made an emergency landing yesterday after the pilot reported a burning smell.

The Airbus left Stansted for Bologna with 119 passengers and six crew.

But firefighters did not find a fire or smoke on board after the plane landed at the Italian airport at about 3pm.

Referring to a spate of recent accidents involving low-cost airlines, an airport spokeswoman said: “We’re being careful.”
