VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani will meet the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency on Friday in Vienna, a U.N. spokeswoman said.
"I can confirm that Ali Larijani is coming and that he will be meeting with Dr. (Mohamed) ElBaradei tomorrow morning," said International Atomic Energy Agency spokeswoman Melissa Fleming.
"They will be discussing safeguard implementation issues."
The IAEA board has called on Iran to halt sensitive atomic work that it resumed this month in defiance of the West. Iran has said it will not heed that call.
ElBaradei is due to issue a report on Iran's compliance with its nuclear obligations on September 3, IAEA diplomats have said.
Tehran denies Western charges that its atomic program is a front for covertly developing nuclear weapons.
