Major quake strikes Papua New Guinea

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A 7.3 magnitude quake struck the New
Ireland region of Papua New Guinea on Friday, the U.S.
Geological Survey reported.

“No damage has been reported at this point in time to the
U.S. Geological Survey,” agency spokeswoman spokesman Clarice
Ransom said.
