Iraqi Policeman Killed West of Baghdad; More Deaths Reported

An Iraqi Interior Ministry source announced a police officer was killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him west of Baghdad.
In the centre of the Iraqi capital, an Iraqi civilian was killed and another wounded when several mortar shells landed in the vicinity of the Interior Ministry.
A booby-trapped vehicle exploded as elements of the Iraqi police and security forces were trying to defuse it, without causing any casualties.
